I began my journey in Fashion, working in the family business from age 14. Eventually I came to own my Fashion Retail Store and was pretty sure that was where I would remain. Until I fell pregnant. The urge to be a Stay At Home mum overcame me. Staring out the window with my first precious baby girl in my arms, I had a pivotal moment. Being Healthy and returning to my Best Self in my Best Body was so important to me. It was the glue that held me together. That allowed me to be the best mum I could be. To be the Version of Me. And I knew if I could do it, thousands of other women could do it too. I had a deep innate knowing that I would share this path with as many women as possible. I just wasn’t sure how. But I knew it was my calling.
Fast forward to today, I’ve just completed my 8th Certification in Pilates and Wellness, I’ve worked with 100s of women on their journey back to their best selves. I’ve been living and breathing Pilates since 2008. If you have a moment I’ll relay some details below to share a little of my journey. .
After my first baby girl was born, around 13 years ago, I began Healthy Food Writing. To substantiate my knowledge I went on to Study at The Integrative Institute of Nutrition after baby girl No.2. I began working as a Health and wellness Coach around 11 years ago, guiding Clients back to their healthiest Selves. But I knew there was more to it. Nutrition and Movement worked hand in hand.
By baby girl No.3, 10 years into practicing Reformer religiously I finally took the leap to Study Pilates. I became Certified in Mat and Reformer and began teaching Reformer classes. Then the Pandemic hit. I pivoted. I began teaching Private Clients Via Zoom. And I saw the greatest transformations I had ever seen. Why you might wonder? Because Zoom overrode the challenges / hiccups / bumps in the road of Motherhood. And as almost all my clients were Mums, I witnessed the effects first hand. Suddenly Class attendance was at its highest. There were no more cancellations. Sick kids, colds, home days, nothing stood in the way. A Dynamic Workout program in your own home, was the ultimate game changer.
And so I knew if this Method, practiced At Home, worked so well for my Private Clients, it would work just as well for women all over the world. And so I developed Rhythmic Pilates. Having Studied Multiple Disciplines, Pilates, Barre, Fascia Fitness, Pre and Post Natal Barre & Pilates & Movement Principles & Anatomy, I began blending the best of each of these Repertoires to create one Dynamic Workout. It had to be Efficient and it had to be Effective. Because if there’s one thing I know for sure, Busy Women, don’t have time to waste.
They say that Pilates is for life. I can vouch for this first hand. Pilates has carried me through 3 pregnancies, it has kept my body, Nimble, Mobile, Flexible and Young well into my 40s.
