Despite it’s title, Vanilla Hemp Milk only takes a few seconds to whip up. It’s an excellent nut free, soy free, dairy free milk alternative and adds a splash of sweet nutty vanilla flavouring to an otherwise ordinary Brekkie Bowl. And we’re not about ordinary here. Other than Chia seeds, Hemp seeds are one of the only foods to contain the ideal ratio of omega 6 to omega 3s. Plus, as Hemp Seeds contain the super anti inflammatory essential fatty acid GLA, it helps to balance hormones and can therefore assist with PMS. Above all, Hemp is packed with protein and is arguable the best source of plant based protein available to man. Who knew a brekkie bowl could have so much meaning? Recipe below xx
Vanilla Hemp Milk & Brekkie Bowl

Ingredients
Hemp Milk
1/2 cup hemp seeds
2cups filtered water
1tbs maple syrup or 1 Medjool date
1tsp vanilla essence
Pinch of Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
Brekkie Bowl
1/2 cup wholegrain oats
1/4 cup flaked coconut
8-10 almonds
1 banana sliced
2 strawberries sliced
Directions
1. Combine all Hemp Milk ingredients in a high powered blender. Whiz / blend until a milk substance forms. Approx 1 minute. Cover and store in fridge.
2. To assemble brekkie bowl, begin with oats, top with banana, strawberry, coconut, almonds and top with Vanilla Hemp Milk xx
